The material of clothes varies from each other, so as the washing methods and maintenance. Here are some precautions when you are washing clothes of cotton, linen, and silk fabrics.
Washing and maintenance of cotton fabrics: cotton fabric is resistant to acid and can be washed with a variety of soap or detergent and the best water temperature is 40 degrees – 50 degrees. Before washing, you can immerse in water for a few minutes.
Do not soak for long, lest the color damage. Do not wring it out after washing, so as not to distort clothes. Drain directly from the water and hang it in a cool place to dry.
Avoid exposure to intense sunlight, which will discolor the colored fabric. Note: Cotton clothes are best ironed when they are half dry, and if they are fully dry, the temperature should not be too high.
Washing and maintenance of linen fabrics: specially treated linen fabrics are not shrunk when washed and can be washed with all kinds of soap and washing method, but water temperature should not be too high. For the most suitable bar of soap, you can refer to JOBY, who is very professional in bar soap wholesale business.
Soak in the water after 30 degrees for 20 minutes, and rub with your hands, not to rub on the washboard. Don’t soak colored fabric in hot water to avoid discoloration.
Don’t wring out after washing, lest the misplacement of linen fiber and damaged fabric, influencing the appearance and durability of clothes. Put in the cool place to dry. Note: medium temperature ironing (temperature should be below 150 degrees).
Washing and maintenance of silk fabrics: some fabrics should be washed in water, some need dry cleaning. Do not wash with washing machine. Soak for 5 minutes, preferably wash immediately after immersion.
Use acidic detergents when washing, dedicated silk hair detergent, neutral soap and advanced synthetic detergent are all suitable, to preserve its unique natural sheen. The washing temperature should be in lukewarm or cold water to prevent the occurrence of discoloration.
Melt the soap detergent in hot water first, then soak all the clothes after the water gets cold. Because silkworm silk is resistant to sunlight, you should reverse your clothes when drying. Place it in a cool place and iron it with a medium warm iron when it’s cool to 80% dry keeping the new clothes shiny and durable.
When cleaning, if you can add some vinegar to the water, the clothes will be more colorful and bright. Note: avoid water spraying when ironing, so as to avoid water mark. Medium temperature ironing (temperature should be below 150 degrees).
